The Aristotelian Symposium
Transitioning from the past to the future

It is with great joy that we invite you to the 1st Aristotelian Symposium, an event dedicated to the philosopher who shaped Western thought, as well as to the symposiums of the Hellenistic Period. The event will merge rehearsed readings enacted by actors L. Dimiropoulos and R. Samaropoulou, under the artistic supervision of S. Kalaitzis, with a live cooking demonstration based on ancient Greek gastronomy, by chef D. Tsananas.

Join us and experience Greece’s thousand-year-old tradition of commensality*, the fundamental social activity that forges human relations, shapes communities, and generates ideas, sometimes even philosophical ones.

The Symposium will take place on Thursday, the 18th of May, at 19:00 in Aristotle’s Park, in the village of Stagira.

The event is organised by the Municipality of Aristotle, with the assistance of Halkidiki’s Chamber of Commerce, and will be documented by international press agents.

Tickets on-site. Proceeds will be donated to charity.
